This week in the Detroit Church of Christ, Kyle Eastman shares the lesson 'What Do You See?' What we see or notice in the Bible can depend on our background or expectations. Kyle asks: Are you really seeing and listening? In Ephesians, Paul prays that we would really see God and understand how he really feels about us. We can react to something that is not reality or the truth. Kyle challenges us: Be on guard to the subtle pull of culture and materialism, and the pull of the sins of the world.

This week in the Detroit Church of Christ, Olumide Faulkner shares the lesson 'News That Brings Joy'. Reading from the book of Luke, Olumide helps us take a closer look at the coming of Jesus that would bring 'great joy', and two of the people who went looking for Jesus during his ministry. He asks: Why would each of them to go into a hostile environment looking for Jesus? The answer being they were humble and recognized that they were 'sinners', and that Jesus could save them from their lives of sin. This brought them the Joy mentioned by the angel in Luke 2. He asks, 'Do you feel this Joy? Olumide's challenge: Are you ready and equipped to stand before God like these people?

This week in the Detroit Church of Christ, Kyle Eastman shares his lesson 'To the Sky'. He asks 'What is your vision for your life and this church?' Reading from Proverbs and Isaiah, he reminds us that God gives vision to his people, and that our purpose is who we are, and our mission is what we do. That mission is to love our family, to love the lost, and to love the hurting even when you expect nothing in return. His question: 'What is your vision?'

This week in the Detroit Church of Christ, Mark Kang shares his last message as evangelist of the Detroit church before moving on to lead the church in Vancouver. Reading from the book of Acts, Mark helps us to see that God wants us to 'look to the past' as a way to keep His commands and promises in the forefront of our minds. He reminds us that the apostle Paul always closed with 'be on your guard', and how in times of change we must stay focused on following God.

This week in the Detroit Church of Christ, Kyle Eastman, reading from the book of Mark, shares the lesson 'I Want to See'. Kyle talks about prayer in our lives. He outlines how we often believe prayer is intuitive but it is not. He challenges us to carefully examine our actual needs and to be specific in our prayers. How when we pray for other people, we have to be thoughtful as to what do they really need. He reminds us that we must be faithful in God in order for Him to answer our prayers.

How we must stay connected to Jesus and stay connected to his people, in order to have the full joy and love that is God. He asks ‘What is truly shaping your life?’

This week in the Detroit Church of Christ, Kyle Eastman continues the series called 'Discipling' and shares from the book of 2nd Samuel. Kyle helps us to understand how important it is to have an attitude of humility so we can hear the truth about our lives from others. How living a life of lies is a trap. Kyle challenges us that we must also be courageous in delivering the truth to others. That it is the height of cruelty to not tell someone the truth because you make them comfortable in their sin.

This week in the Detroit Church of Christ, Mark Kang shares a lesson on Discipling. Reading from 1st Timothy, Mark talks about we must be 'trained' to be godly, both for the present time and the time to come. He reminds us that there are three elements to successful discipling: Consistency, Transparency, and Accountability. That no one wants to stand before the judge unprepared. Mark's challenge to us is to be a person who is open, seeks the advice of others often, and is willing to be called higher.
