This week in the Detroit Church of Christ, Joel Nagel visiting from the Lansing church, shares the lesson 'The Unmerciful Servant'. Joel, reading from the book of Matthew, discusses how we can be conditional in our love. How even the apostle Peter struggled with this when he said ‘How many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me?’ Joel helps us to see how we can learn to love more completely if we follow the form of the ‘Lord’s Prayer’ in Matthew 6. That our prayers need to include praising God, asking for forgiveness of our sins, and having mercy on others.

I Want to See - Kyle Eastman 07/20/25

This week in the Detroit Church of Christ, Kyle Eastman, reading from the book of Mark, shares the lesson 'I Want to See'. Kyle talks about prayer in our lives. He outlines how we often believe prayer is intuitive but it is not. He challenges us to carefully examine our actual needs and to be specific in our prayers. How when we pray for other people, we have to be thoughtful as to what do they really need. He reminds us that we must be faithful in God in order for Him to answer our prayers.
