This week in the Detroit Church of Christ, Andrew Elliott shares the lesson 'Faithful Partnership'. Andrew discusses how in Acts 12, the faith of the disciples was being tested. Peter was bound in chains, in captivity, and was to be put to death. Peter was sleeping because he knew God was in control. He had prayed and was prepared for whatever way God would rescue him. Andrew asks: Do we believe that this kind of change can happen to us? His challenge: We should not be astonished but pray with a trusting expectation that God will rescue us from trials and captivity.
